This 5th annual program in collaboration with the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) and the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA) looks at the way the media perceives, covers and shapes attitudes about the GLBT community. Nationally syndicated National Public Radio host Todd Mundt of Michigan Public Radio moderates; with panelists Judy Wieder, Editor-in- Chief of The Advocate; Rose Arce, producer at CNN; Gene Falk, Senior Vice President of Showtime; and Brian Graden, President of Entertainment for MTV.

The Philadelphia Chapter of the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA Philadelphia) will host a reception immediately following the National Media Panel discussion, to be held at Soto Varalli, located at Broad & Locust Streets. The reception is open and free to the public, and will include a cash bar.
