The event includes tributes by MTV's John Norris; GLSEN's Executive Director Kevin Jennings; Real World Executive Producer John Murray; and Real World Chicago's Chris and Aneesa. Special performances by South Africa Allen Bell's Dream Theatre, the Anna Crusis Women's Choir, and Special Celebrity Appearances highlight the evening. MTV's President of Entertainment Brian Graden, and Vice President for Strategic Partnerships Stephen Friedman accept the award.
