Each year, Equality Forum honors an individual country that promotes progressive advancements and policies for its GLBT population. This year, Equality Forum recognizes China as its 2006 Featured Nation through acknowledgment of its emerging grassroots gay and lesbian civil rights movement. Chinese Gay Pioneer Dan Zhou will participate in several programs, and is the recipient of Equality Forum's International Role Model Award, to be presented by B.D. Wong at the International Equality Dinner.
