PHILADELPHIA – Three-time Grammy nominee Taylor Dayne will headline Equality LIVE!, a major five-act concert to close Equality Forum 2006 on Sunday, May 7, at the Penn’s Landing waterfront amphitheater in Philadelphia. Equality LIVE! wraps up a full day of events in Philadelphia’s trendy Old City neighborhood, including SundayOUT!, the largest annual gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender street festival in Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
Taylor Dayne topped the music charts with her 1988 hit, “Tell It to My Heart,” followed by two albums which reached double-platinum status. She has since performed in two sold-out world tours. Her 2000 hit “Planet Love” reached No. 1 on the Billboard dance chart.
“Taylor Dayne is a legend in the dance-pop music scene,” said Malcolm Lazin, Executive Director of Equality Forum. “We are proud to feature an artist who is a friend and supporter of GLBT equality.”
Equality LIVE! closes out Equality Forum 2006, the largest annual national and international GLBT civil rights forum. Equality Forum 2006 features over 70 programs, parties and special events from May 1 to 7 in Philadelphia.
