Saint of 9/11 Screening at Penn's Landing for National 5th Anniversary Remembrance

PHILADELPHIA—"Saint of 9/11," the critically acclaimed feature-length documentary will be screened at Penn's Landing on Monday, September 11, 2006. Philadelphia is among 13 cities that will mark the National Fifth Anniversary Remembrance by screening "Saint of 9/11," the story of Father Mychal Judge, Chaplain, FDNY.

The Reuters photograph of Father Judge's body being carried from the World Trade Center became an international image of heroism and sacrifice. "Saint of 9/11" was produced in Philadelphia.

"Saint of 9/11" will be shown at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing, 7:30 p.m. on September 11.  Admission is free.

Sir Ian McKellen is the narrator. The original musical score is by Philadelphian Michael Aharon. "Saint of 9/11" had its world premiere at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival.  LA Weekly called the documentary "magnificent," The Philadelphia Inquirer a “must-see film,” and The New York Times "elegiac."

Philadelphians Glenn Holsten, director, and Malcolm Lazin, executive producer, will introduce the film and be available for questions after the screening.
