Founded |
Equality Forum began in 1993 as PrideFest Philadelphia, a non-profit organization hosting 15 regional organizations presenting substantive programs in a weekend. In 1999, PrideFest changed its name to PrideFest America and expanded to seven days. In 2003 the Board renamed the organization to Equality Forum to reflect the inclusion of international programs and an annual Featured Nation.
